Their sharp teeth and explosive leaps make them the strongest, meanest and most aggressive fish in Corrientes. This fish hits like a tuna and jumps like a tarpon! Dorado fishing is similar saltwater fishing but in fresh water. You never know when something really huge is going to strike!

Argentina has recently taken a major step in preserving the Golden Dorado or Salminus Maxillosus by declaring it the national fish of Argentina starting January 1, 2008. It is now unlawful to harvest a single dorado inside Argentina! Now our prime waters are guaranteed to become ever better in the future.

The sub tropical climate of northern Argentina is teeming with exotic wildlife such as water buffalos, the capybara, caiman, and hundreds of large and small birds. The bio diversity extends below the water as well. In addition to dorado, you’ll be catching other endemic species such as Palometas, Piranhas and Dogfish.
